Community Guidelines
Engine Simulator
Effective date: May 24, 2026
Last updated: May 24, 2026
Engine Simulator lets you share engines you build and compete on a global leaderboard. These features are public, and these Community Guidelines (the "Guidelines") set the rules for everything you make public in the App. They are operated and enforced by Muhammad Ata. Questions or reports can be sent to enginesimulatorios@gmail.com.
By setting a username, publishing an engine, submitting to the leaderboard, or otherwise posting public content, you agree to these Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not post public content.
1. Zero tolerance
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior on Engine Simulator. Content that violates these Guidelines will be removed, and users who post it may be immediately and permanently ejected from the community features without notice. We act on reports of violations and remove offending content and the users who post it.
2. Where these Guidelines apply
These Guidelines apply to all content you make public, including:
- your username / display name;
- the name you give an engine you share;
- the description you write for an engine you share;
- any engine you publish to the community board; and
- any entry you submit to the global leaderboard.
They do not restrict private, single-player use of the simulator on your own device. Only content you choose to publish is governed here.
3. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not post, upload, submit, or use as a username any content that:
- is hateful, or that attacks, demeans, or promotes discrimination or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic, including slurs and hate symbols;
- is harassing, bullying, threatening, or abusive toward any person, or that encourages others to harass;
- is sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene, or that sexualizes minors in any way;
- depicts, promotes, or incites violence, terrorism, self-harm, or suicide;
- is profane, vulgar, or otherwise inappropriate for a general audience that includes minors;
- promotes or facilitates illegal activity, regulated goods, or dangerous behavior;
- impersonates another person, brand, or organization, or falsely implies affiliation or endorsement;
- infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, or discloses another person's private or personal information without consent;
- is spam, a scam, fraud, malware, phishing, or contains unsolicited advertising or links;
- attempts to manipulate, cheat, or game the leaderboard or community systems, including submitting falsified results, exploiting bugs, or evading a block or ban; or
- is otherwise unlawful, objectionable, or harmful.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. We may remove any content and take action against any user at our discretion to keep the community safe.
4. Username rules
Usernames are public. In addition to the prohibitions above, a username must meet the App's format rules (a reasonable length using letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, and underscores). Do not use a username that contains another person's private information, impersonates someone, or is designed to evade moderation.
5. Be respectful and don't post personal information
The leaderboard and community board are seen by people of many ages and backgrounds. Keep your content appropriate for a general audience. Do not put personal or identifying information, yours or anyone else's, in a username, engine name, or description. Remember that engines you publish can be downloaded by other users and may remain on their devices after you remove your copy.
6. How we moderate
We use a combination of measures:
- Automated screening. Before public text (usernames, engine names, and descriptions) can be posted, it is screened by an on-device blocklist and, on supported devices, an on-device content model. Content judged inappropriate is rejected at the point of posting.
- User reporting. Every piece of another user's public content has a report control. Reporting a piece of content sends it to us for review and immediately hides that author's content on your device.
- User blocking. You can block any user. Blocking hides all of that user's content everywhere it appears in the App, instantly.
- Manual review and enforcement. We review reports and remove violating content and the users who post it.
No automated system is perfect. Reporting and blocking exist so the community can flag anything the filters miss.
7. Reporting and blocking
- To report content, tap the flag control on the leaderboard row or community card and choose "Report." The content is hidden from you immediately, and the report is sent to us for review.
- To block a user, tap the flag control and choose "Block." You will no longer see any of that user's content.
We aim to review reports of objectionable content and act on them promptly, including removing content and ejecting violating users.
8. Consequences of violations
Depending on the severity and circumstances, a violation may result in:
- removal of the offending content;
- rejection of attempted posts;
- temporary or permanent removal of your access to the community and leaderboard features; and/or
- reporting to the appropriate authorities where required by law.
We may take any of these actions without prior notice. Attempting to evade a block, ban, or content removal is itself a violation.
9. No obligation to host or monitor
We are not obligated to host any particular content and may remove content or restrict access at our discretion. While we screen content and review reports, we cannot pre-screen all content and are not responsible for content posted by users. Public content reflects the views of the user who posted it, not us.
10. Changes to these Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the public features after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Guidelines.
